The Meet and Greet Volunteer Service at St Luke’s General Hospital assists and supports members of the public when visiting the hospital. The main role of Meet and Greet volunteers is to provide a friendly welcome to the hospital assisting and guiding visitors and patients to the various wards, departments and clinics in the hospital. Volunteers also visit patients, read newspapers to patients, play cards, facilitate a walk in the hospital grounds, assist with feeding for less able patients, operate a library service to the wards, etc.
St Luke’s also offers members of the public the opportunity to give feedback on hospital services through their Patient Partnership and Pediatric Focus Groups. These groups meet with management a number of times each year to provide feedback on the service we provide and discuss new developments in the hospital.
