Said to be the finest Cistercian monastic ruins in Ireland. Of particular note are the superb cloisters, some very early effigies and the east rose window. There is a visitor centre, accessible for disabled people, with exhibition and guide service.
March to September: 9am to 5.30pm
October: 9am to 5pm
November: 9am to 4.30pm
December, January and February: Monday to Friday 9am to 4pm (but it is
best to ring in advance over those three months)
Groups of six upwards should pre-book.
Last admission one hour before closing.
